On Breathing

Sometimes, caught up in the momentum and chaos of daily life, we can forget to breathe. Final exams, résumé submission deadlines, job interviews... life piles up and we suffocate under the weight of our responsibilities.
When you feel like you’ve been beaten,
take a deep breath.
One... two... three. Exhale.
You're alive. You're stressed, a lot of people are depending on you, the pressure mounts higher and higher with each passing moment, but you're alive!

With every breath you take, marvel at that steady heartbeat, so faithfully pumping life through your veins. Flex those arms and fingers, watch those muscles and nerves spring into action, always at your service, always ready to help you on your next venture. Listen to that voice in your head, the one reading this blog post aloud to you right now – admire your consciousness, how you can admire your own consciousness. You are a miracle! You take that 21% Oxygen in the air and convert it to human energy and brilliance! Go meet your responsibilites. Go tackle those life hurdles. But also find time to breathe. Find time to live.
